Ontario County Sheriff Kevin Henderson said there were 12 vehicles reportedly broken into in the area of Church Street, Lynaugh Road and Lane Road Developments in Victor over the last week. The cars were unlocked and things like cash, electronic devices and other personal items were stolen.

VICTOR – A string of vehicle burglaries in the northern part of the village has triggered an alert by the sheriff.

Sheriff Kevin Henderson said there were 12 vehicles reportedly broken into in the area of Church Street, Lynaugh Road and Lane Road Developments in Victor last week. It appears that the larcenies are occurring in the late evening hours.

Sheriff Henderson encourages people to lock their vehicles at all times, even when parked in your driveway. The vehicles were all unlocked. Items such as cash, electronic devices and other personal items were taken.

Residents are asked to contact the sheriff’s office at (585) 396-4638 if they have security footage that could show any suspicious activity or persons in the area.
