Greece resident to lead HCS employer network

Marianne Durrant, of Greece, director for Heritage Christian Services’ Employment Alliance, will launch and oversee the agency’s Employer Resource Network.

Durrant has spent 24 years at HCS, serving in multiple leadership roles. As director of the Employment Alliance, she connects local businesses with job candidates entering the workforce.

Durrant oversees the Project Search program, which provides young adults with job training and internships in partnership with Jewish Senior Life. In 2017, she became director of the Center for Human Services Education.

The ERN aims to support employees in personal and professional problem-solving, and Durrant will oversee a staff that provides employee support.

 

Brockport nurse completes educator course

Jodi White, nurse educator at Elderwood of Lakeside at Brockport, recently completed the Foundation for Quality Care’s RN nurse educator course.

The program is designed for nurses in senior management roles that aspire to become or remain leaders in the long-term care profession.

Over four days, participants learn new skills, fine-tune existing knowledge, explore adult learning strategies, and operationalize the skills and competencies needed to be an effective nurse educator in skilled nursing facilities.
