Three Rochester residents are facing third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance charges after an investigation conducted by the Canandaigua Police Department's Detective Unit.

CANANDAIGUA — Three Rochester residents are facing third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance charges after an investigation conducted by the Canandaigua Police Department's Detective Unit. According to police, the three sold crack cocaine in the City of Canandaigua.

Clifton Vickers, 29; Marcus A. Thompson, 44; and Robin Campbell, 38, was arrested July 31 by Canandaigua police. When officers stopped their vehicle on North Bloomfield Road, the vehicle fled as officers approached on foot, according to police. Thompson, a passenger, left the vehicle and fled on foot, to be apprehended hiding in a nearby wooded area. Vickers drove through a large field on North Bloomfield Road, then crashed into a ditch on North Street, police said. Vickers tried to run, but was apprehended after a short pursuit, police said.

All three were processed and taken to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment. The Ontario County Special Investigations Unit, Road Patrol and K-9 unit assisted in the investigation and
arrest, and additional charges are pending.
