Stokoe Farms, 656 South Road, Scottsville, is holding its Sunshine & Sunflowers Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays-Sundays through Aug. 25 to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester.
Guests can take photos with 13 varieties of blooming sunflowers of all colors. Admission covers the sunflower field, hayrides, live music, fall activities and animals.
All bloom sales will go to Ronald McDonald House Charities. Through sponsors, Stokoe Farms raised over $3,500 before the festival opened.
“Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester relies 100% on fundraising and all of the money raised stays local to help families,” said Suzanne Stokoe, owner of Stokoe Farms. “With an annual operating budget of $2.7 million per year, they rely on the support of the community to be able to offer their programs and services. We chose to partner with the charity because their mission is to help families with sick children. Their goal is to offer a warm bed, stocked fridge and a shoulder to lean on.”
