Under a new state law, all school districts in New York state that contract with law enforcement agencies must hold hold public hearings regarding SRO agreements.

The Naples Central School District will hold a public hearing Wednesday at 5 p.m. on the role of its School Resource Officer. For the past few years, the district has contracted with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office to provide an SRO, with Deputy Rick Jaus in the position.

The school is at 136 N. Main St., with the entrance on Academy Street.
