Tickets are on sale now for Disney’s “The Lion King,” set to run from Dec. 19 to Jan. 5, 2020, at the Rochester Broadway Theatre League’s Auditorium Theatre.
More than 100 people have seen “The Lion King” through 25 global productions since its premiere in 1997. It won six Tony awards in 1998, including best musical.
Julie Taymor, director, costume designer and mask co-designer, continues to supervise new productions of the show around the world. The score features Elton John and Tim Rice’s songs from the animated film, as well as new songs and material.
