The 70th anniversary season at Blackfriars Theatre, 795 E. Main St., Rochester, will continue with “Detroit ‘67” by Dominique Morisseau on Oct. 18-Nov. 3.
Chelle and her brother Lank are making ends meet by turning their basement into an after-hours joint, but start to clash over more than the family business. As their pent-up feelings erupt, so does Detroit and the siblings find themselves caught up in the ‘67 riots.
“Detroit ‘67,” directed by J. Simmons, stars Laron Dewberry, Melanie McBride, Tahina McPherson, Anthony Aceyon Owens and Ashona Pulliam.
Tickets start at $28.50. Call (585) 454-1260 or visit blackfriars.org for information.
