Out of Pocket Inc. will open its 12th season with the cataclysmic comedy “Boom” by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb on Oct. 25-Nov. 1 at the MuCCC, 142 Atlantic Ave., Rochester.
A grad student’s online personal ad lures a journalism student to his subterranean research lab, but when a major global catastrophic event strikes the planet, their date takes on evolutionary significance and the fate of humanity hangs in the balance.
“Boom,” directed by Stephanie Roosa, spans billions of years and explores the influences of fate versus randomness in the course of one’s life.
Tickets start at $13. Proceeds will benefit St. Mark’s and St. John’s Episcopal Church’s EDEN Urban Gardens Initiative. Visit muccc.org for information.
