PALMYRA — Two passenger cars and a Palmyra-Macedon school bus were involved in a personal injury accident Tuesday on Route 21 in the Town of Palmyra.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, Haley Lewis, 21, of Virginia Beach was driving south on Route 21 when she was distracted and rear-ended the vehicle in front of her, which had stopped for a school bus. That vehicle, driven by Denise Nash, 65, of Palmyra, was pushed into the school bus.

Nash was transported by Finger Lakes Ambulance to Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic to be treated for minor injuries. Nobody on the school bus was injured.

Lewis was ticketed with failure to reduce speed for a special hazard and will appear later in Palmyra Town Court.

Wayne County deputies were assisted at the scene by the Palmyra Fire Department, Finger Lakes Ambulance and Palmyra-Macedon Central School District personnel.
