Canandaigua Police Department is seeking the public's assistance- trying to find out who attacked a woman with a baseball bat Saturday night in the area of Chapin St. and Bemis St.

The City of Canandaigua Police Department is asking for help finding who attacked a woman with a baseball bat last Saturday.

Police say that someone struck a woman with the bat "several times" in the area of Chapin Street and Bemis Street on Oct. 5 around 8:30 p.m. The woman sustained minor injuries.

The suspect was wearing dark colored pants, a black hoodie, and a scarf that covered their face. After the assault, the suspect left on foot heading south on Bemis Street.
