Each year, the Community Development Block Grants help communities fund local projects to improve their towns and villages. The Monroe County Legislature has approved several CDBG projects which allow our community to receive various allocations from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
I am proud to announce that I have voted to approve a grant for $50,000 to improve and replace gutters on Nisa Lane in Gates. These replacements stem from a long-discussed initiative to improve infrastructure around Monroe County. This project intends on improving residential areas in Gates to make every day commuting easier for residents.
As the county legislator for Gates, I believe improving our infrastructure not only improves quality of life for residents, but also drives more jobs and businesses to our community. This project began in early August and will be completed shortly. Anyone with questions can contact me at (585) 753-1922 or by email at monroe4@monroecounty.gov.
