Drug-Free Irondequoit: Together will hold an opioid overdose prevention training from 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Irondequoit Public Library, 1290 Titus Ave., Rochester.
The session will include information on how to administer naloxone, an opioid-overdose antidote. Attendees will receive a kit to take home.
The event will be jointly sponsored by the East Irondequoit and West Irondequoit
Central School Districts.
The coalition will partner with the Irondequoit Police Department for a DEA Drug Take Back Day, where residents can drop off prescription drugs from noon to 2 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the IPD parking lot, 1300 Titus Ave.
