The 108th annual Holiday Botanical Show is on display until Jan. 5 at the Lamberton Conservatory, 180 Reservoir Ave., Rochester.
“The Lamberton Conservatory is decked out for the holiday season,” said Cheryl Dinolfo, county executive. “Poinsettias are the true stars of the show, but visitors will also enjoy trees, wreaths and exotic plants on full display. We are pleased to offer extended hours on Friday and Sunday evenings.”
Over 1,000 poinsettias representing more than 20 different varieties are on display. The Highland Park Bowl features a 20-foot lighted Christmas tree.
“Our Holiday Botanical Show features an 8-foot high poinsettia pyramid,” said Larry Staub, director of the Monroe County Parks Department. “In addition to the festive flora, holiday visitors will be treated to a dazzling display of colorful lights strung throughout the conservatory.”
Lamberton Conservatory is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, except Dec. 25. Extended hours on Fridays and Sundays keep the conservatory open until 9 p.m. throughout the run of the show.
Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for ages 6-18 and 62 and older, and free for ages 5 and younger.
