Constellation Brands Inc., a beverage alcohol company based in Victor, recently promoted Nichole Malec to vice president of public affairs.
Malec will be lead advocate with elected officials in the state. She will take a larger role with representing the company’s interests at the international, federal and state levels, working cross-functionally with all aspects of the business. Malec will serve as Constellation’s key point of contact for public affairs issues related to cannabis.
“It is critical to Constellation’s success that our position on issues that matter to our business and to the communities where our more than 9,000 employees live and work are considered by decision-makers,” said Matt Stanton, senior VP of public affairs. “Nichole’s work and the relationships she has built over the last four years while at Constellation, and throughout her career in public policy, will ensure we have a seat at the table both on the Hill and in our local communities.”
Based in Rochester, Malec joined Constellation in 2016 as director of public affairs. In that role, she was responsible for supporting and expanding the company’s visibility in public affairs efforts. She will continue to represent Constellation in trade associations and community efforts.
“I am excited to continue the good work we have done on behalf of Constellation Brands with the many dedicated lawmakers and community leaders we have come to know and work with,” Malec said. “In my new role, I look forward to strengthening relationships with key influencers across the U.S. and internationally on the issues that matter most to our business, our employees and our communities.”
