The Hochstein Youth Symphony Orchestra will kick off “Live from Hochstein,” a series of free lunchtime concerts, with works by Enescu, Mendelssohn, Gwyneth Walker and excerpts from John Williams’ score to “The Cowboys” on March 18.
All concerts run from 12:10 to 12:50 p.m. in Hochstein Performance Hall, 50 N. Plymouth Ave., Rochester. Other performances will feature Hochstein students, faculty members and alumni, as well as music by women composers to mark the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote.
The lineup continues with the Ekstasis Duo on March 25, Sibley Chamber Players on April 1, Antara Winds and Wilmot Woodwind Quintet on April 15, Hochstein Merit Scholarship winners on April 22, “Settling the Score” on April 29, “String Fantasies” on May 6, and Gossamer Edge Trio on May 13.
