ROCHESTER — Another person in Monroe County has tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total to 11.

Monroe County Executive Adam Bello announced the updated number at a press conference on Monday. He did not provide any other information on the latest case.

Monroe County Commissioner of Public Health Dr. Michael Mendoza says four of the cases are that of adults — not students — and have a clear connection to Greece Arcadia Middle School. An employee of the Greece Athena High School has also been diagnosed.

The children of one of the patients are enrolled at the Unique Child Day Care Center on Meigs Street in Rochester, which has been ordered to close for 48 hours.

An employee at the Friendly Home on East Avenue in Brighton also tested positive. The woman, who lives in Victor, does not provide direct care to residents. She recently traveled to Miami, Florida and is isolated at home, according to Ontario County officials.

One patient is in Rochester General Hospital, one patient is in Unity Hospital, one patient is in Highland Hospital and five patients are at home, according to Mendoza.
