The state has come up with a new system to help file for unemployment in an effort to help a lot of people who are not working right now.

The system will be based on the first letter of your last name.

People with a last name that begins with “A” through “F” should file for benefits on Mondays,“G” through “N” will file on Tuesdays and everyone else will file on Wednesdays.

If you missed your day, you should file on Thursday or Friday.

Earlier this week, we told you the influx of people filing for unemployment caused the system to crash.

State officials hope this process will fix that.
