More businesses across New York state will be forced to close by Saturday night.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo issued an executive order that all barbershops, hair salons, tattoo or piercing parlors, and related personal care services, including electrolysis and laser hair removal services. This impacts all nail technicians, cosmetologists, and estheticians.

These types of businesses must close until further notice by 8 p.m. Saturday, March 21.

Cuomo announced Thursday that all businesses need to reduce their in-person workforce by 75% by 8 p.m. Friday, March 20. The governor said his executive order exempts businesses providing essential services.
