Administrators from the Hilton Central School District found a way to thank the front-line workers providing essential services and putting themselves at risk during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tracie Czebatol, principal of Merton Williams Middle School, organized a fundraiser that raised almost $1,300 to provide food for Unity Hospital staff.
Administrators purchased and delivered 100 meals from Jose Joe’s and 150 cookies from Paradise Sugar Shoppe to the hospital. Jose Joe’s owners Annamaria and Tom Ban matched the donation with $10 gift certificates taped to each meal and offered free delivery.
