GENEVA — A Geneva man has been charged with second-degree assault for allegedly causing serious injuries to a neighbor’s face and head.

Julio Guzman, 56, was arrested Tuesday, April 28, on an outstanding warrant issued by Geneva Town Court for the assault charge, a Class D felony. According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Guzman is accused of assaulting a neighbor at their apartment complex April 19, resulting in serious injuries. The victim was transported to Geneva General Hospital and later transferred to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for treatment.

Guzman was placed in pre-arraignment detention at the Ontario County Jail.

The Geneva Police Department assisted with the investigation.
