Jewish Senior Life recently honored 99 employees for milestone work anniversaries with its annual years of service awards.
“We’re honored to have employees who display loyalty, compassion and courage,” said Emy Giacalone, senior vice president of human resources. “Our employees work hard every day to make a positive difference in our residents’ lives. We celebrate these employees for their milestone achievements, and are grateful every day for their service and contributions to our organization.”
Among those being honored are Theresa Lamendola, culinary assistant, and Sylvia Lewis, unit secretary, both for 40 years of service.
“I embarked on my career when the Jewish Home was a small building on St. Paul Street,” Lewis said. “I have seen many things transpire since then. The Jewish Home builds extensions of families for residents, family members and co-workers. I consider myself very lucky. Where else can you go and be appreciated for the fact that you are part of the team, and are thanked for the care you give on a daily basis?”
