Writers & Books recently received $10,000 in funding from the National Endowment for the Arts in support of public programs for youth and adults.
This award is one of 1,015 grants nationwide approved by the agency, and one of 62 grants awarded in the literary arts category.
“The Endowment’s generous support is welcome validation of reading and writing as transformative acts,” said Allison Meyers, executive director of Writers & Books. “We are grateful for this investment in our efforts to engage individuals of all ages with opportunities for learning, self-discovery and community building through the literary arts.”
