The Irondequoit Rotary Club recently presented three scholarships to Charles Nash from West Irondequoit High School, Gianna Joy-Neuroth from Bishop Kearney High School and Phoukham “George” Vongkhily from Eastridge High School.
The club’s High School Scholarship program annually provides $1,300 to three students, one from each high school in Irondequoit. These students embody the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.”
Nash, who is pursuing his Eagle Scout badge by building a fireplace with a deck and ramp at Heritage Christian Home, will attend Clarkson University in the fall. Vongkhily plans to pursue nursing at St. John Fisher College.
