Employees from First American Equipment Finance volunteer at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester to spring clean its administrative office, build picnic tables and garden. The day was part of First American’s Impact Day, in which more than 230 colleagues spent the day volunteering at Rochester area organizations.
Rochester Area Crime Stoppers is partnering with Bagel Land in Brighton to raise $10,000 for the purchase of a new K-9 for local law enforcement. The campaign runs through Labor Day.
Donations jars for Rochester Area Crime Stoppers’ “We’re Having a K-9!” campaign are set up in area CountryMax stores, including Webster.
The Ellwanger Garden, 625 Mount Hope Ave., Rochester, will be open to the public from noon to 3 p.m. June 12-13 for Rose and Peony Weekend. This “secret garden” has been cultivated continuously since 1867 and is maintained by the Landmark Society of Western New York. Admission is $5; masks and social distancing are required.
