Stokoe Farms in Scottsville had big plans to celebrate its 20th anniversary Pumpkin Patch and Harvest Fest, but the global pandemic has subdued the celebration.

Guests are welcome to visit the farm on weekends through Oct. 25 starting at 10 a.m.

“We are disappointed that our 20th anniversary is happening under these circumstances, but we have been working hard since May to create events that keep both our guests and employees safe,” said Suzanne Stokoe, sixth-generation farm owner. “Despite restrictions, we are going to do our very best to make sure our annual festival is still a 20-year family tradition that everyone can enjoy, even in a year such as this.”

The farm updated its safety procedures with a COVID plan, such as additional hand wash and sanitizing stations, social distancing signs, and state-required reduced capacity. The farm’s animals will be there, including the new baby kangaroos, but guests are unable to have any contact with them.

“We really hope that guests will come out to our great outdoor facility and enjoy a beautiful fall day with their loved ones,” Stokoe said. “It has been a wonderful 20 years and we look forward to even more to come.”
