ALBANY, N.Y. (WHEC) — Governor Andrew Cuomo says that low-risk youth sports like baseball, softball, and gymnastics will be able to resume in regions in at least Phase 3 on July 6.

The Finger Lakes Region, which includes Rochester, is already in Phase 3, so barring a setback local kids will be able to take part in those sports beginning that day.

The full list of sports is baseball, softball, gymnastics, field hockey, cross country, and crew. Up to two spectators per participant will be allowed to attend. For example, if a family has two children playing baseball in a game, up to four people would be able to come to watch them.

It is not yet clear if these rules also apply to high school sports.
