Greece Police Department records show two incidents of pumpkin-smashing that were reported during the weekend leading up to Halloween.


Charles Mendola, 37, of 4248 Lake Ave. in Rochester was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief around 2 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27 for allegedly throwing a pumpkin through the front window of a residence on Long Ridge Avenue.


Mendola was issued an appearance ticket.


Another incident occured on Wildwood Drive, also on Thursday, Oct. 27, where an unknown suspect smashed a pumpkin on a house and caused damage to a screen door. No arrests were made.
