The Board of Directors of Fairport Baptist Homes Caring Ministries (FBHCM) is pleased to announce that J. Edward Burleigh III has been selected as the President/CEO to succeed Rev. Garth Brokaw, who announced his retirement earlier this year.
Burleigh has more than two decades of experience in long-term care, and has worked as President/CEO of Evangelical Services for the Aging in Hatboro, PA., CEO of Monroe Village in Jamesburg, NJ (a part of Presbyterian Health Services which operates 15 different sites in that state), as well as sole practitioner in his own consulting firm, Burleigh Health Care Group.
Burleigh comes to FBHCM from Philadelphia, where he was born and raised. He earned his bachelor's degree in gerontology from Gwynedd Mercy College and a master of health administration degree with an emphasis on human organization science from Villanova University.
He is married to Jacqueline, a registered nurse, and they have four children between the ages of 10 and 18.
“We are excited to have found someone with Ed’s extensive experience in long term care to provide leadership to Fairport Baptist Homes Caring Ministries as we prepare to write the next chapter in our 107 year history," said Joe Anderson, chair of the FBHCM Board of Directors. "We welcome Ed and his family to the Fairport Baptist Homes family and to the Monroe County community."
Burleigh will begin his new position on Nov 28.
