Hilton's sectional semifinal football game is on top of the list.

FOOTBALL No. 5 Hilton vs. No. 1 Pittsford Class AA Football Sectionals Sunday, Oct. 30, 4:30 p.m. @ Sahlen’s Stadium Hilton easily advanced to the semifinals with a win over East High and now have their toughest task to date as they face unbeaten Pittsford. The two teams squared off in Week 2 and the game came with some drama as Pittsford won on a last-second touchdown by a score of 36-33. If nothing else it proved the Cadets can play with the best team in the bracket. Nick Prince has been making big plays for the Cadets and QB D.J. Logory has been moving the ball well and it will take a lot of points to beat the Panthers.   No. 4 Aquinas vs. No. 8 HFL Class A Football Sectionals Saturday, Oct. 29, 7 p.m. The Cougars of HFL assumed the top seed in the bracket after beating top seed Barker/Roy-Hart in the opening round game. The Irish are probably the best team in the bracket though so there is no easy test here. Aquinas can run the ball, pass the ball and has a swarming defense so the Cougars will have to try and match their offensive output of their first sectional game (62 points) to hang with coach Chris Battaglia’s team.   BOYS SOCCER SECTIONALS No. 4 Greece Athena vs. No. 5 McQuaid Friday, Oct. 28, 3 p.m. The Trojans will begin their postseason with a tough matchup against McQuaid. Athena will need to regroup and view the game as a second season as they faltered a bit near the end of the regular season. Still, one of the late losses came 2-1 to top seeded Spencerport, so Greece is not far off from being the best team in the bracket. They have the ability to score and stop teams from scoring and that is a good recipe come sectionals.
